ZHONGSHAN, China - June 25, 2026 - INTY PACKING, a supplier of aluminum and plastic sealing solutions for the food industry, today announced that its manufacturing facility, Zhongshan Yitai Aluminum Plastic Packaging Co., Ltd., has been awarded certification against the BRCGS Global Standard for Packaging Materials, Issue 7 (October 2024) , following an audit conducted by NSF Certification, LLC.
The BRCGS Packaging Materials Standard is the first packaging standard to be recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI). Now in its seventh edition, it sets rigorous requirements across product safety, quality management, traceability, hygiene, risk assessment, process control, and supplier management. Key updates in Issue 7 include enhanced product safety culture, expanded audit options, and strengthened hazard analysis and risk assessment (HARA) protocols aligned with Codex Alimentarius guidelines. The standard also now covers single‑use disposable products used in food service sectors.
For INTY PACKING, this certification provides independent verification that its production systems meet internationally recognized standards for manufacturing safe, high‑quality, and legally compliant packaging materials. The BRCGS mark is widely used by global brand owners, retailers, and food manufacturers as a key criterion in supplier approval processes. NSF's audit and ongoing surveillance also offer additional assurance to customers regarding product consistency and safety.
