Induction foil sealing liner generally have a backing (or support layer) to support and shape the thin induction layer and heat sealing layer. The cardboard backing is one of them, and after sealing it separates from the sensing layer and remains inside the cap. In theory, induction sealing only needs an aluminum foil layer and a sealing layer to complete the sealing. Why do you need a Paper backed induction sealing liner? Below you will find the answer.
1. Support the aluminum foil. After the heat sealing layer and the aluminum foil layer are laminated, the thickness is still very thin, and it is easy to curl and deform, which affects the use. The cardboard backing can play a very good supporting role, making the aluminum foil sealing layer flat and not easily deformed. Backed aluminum foil is more efficient when inserting lids, whether manual or automatic lid insertion is much more efficient than unbacked aluminum foil.
2. Fill the gap between the bottle lip and the bottle cap. Due to the error of plastic abrasives, some bottles will have some gaps between the lip and cap after the cap is screwed on. The larger the bottle mouth, the higher the probability of this problem. This requires the substrate to fill the gap, so that the sealing layer can be closely attached to the bottle mouth during sealing, reducing the chance of sealing errors.
How to confirm thickness?
The thickness of the detachable aluminum foil gasket is generally considered comprehensively according to the gap between the bottle cap and the bottle mouth, the cost of the gasket and the efficiency of the plug. If the gap between the bottle cap and the bottle mouth is large, a thick enough gasket should be used. Thick gaskets can improve the efficiency of capping and increase the cost at the same time.
